Oh my goodness – there are SO many adorable Easter and Spring craft ideas! If you doubt me, check out our Easter and Spring Pinterest boards. In fact, it is torture having to choose a few. Here were my final selections:
Glowing Fireflies
We started off the party by painting egg cartons yellow for these adorable Egg Carton Chicks. While they dried we moved onto making the glowing fireflies.
(Funny, while looking up the link I realize we forgot to add wings – oops! Good thing they don’t really fly.)
This is a really great project but for the number of kids we had – it was a lot of work pushing the thumb tacks through the plastic eggs. However, the end result is so cool that it makes it totally worth it. (Hey, it wasn’t as bad as the rain sticks we made.)
Paper Bunny Pops
Next, we took advantage of the free template on Oriental Trading for Paper Bunny Pops. This project was rather quick and easy (refreshing after working on the silly holes in the eggs). The kids loved these and what a cute, inexpensive gift to share with people.
Egg Carton Chicks
I have no idea where the original person got their egg cartons but they would certainly work better than ours. Some of them had a flat side and some didn’t. There were several that were different and needed a little assessing before assembling. We hot glued the pieces together so some would stand a chance! It was fun to see the different way the kids drew the eyes and where they placed the wings and beak.
Carrot Patch Cupcakes

After we finished the cupcakes, the kids saw extra Tootsie Rolls and one boy asked “Can I have another carrot?”
One mom commented ”Makes it sound so healthy.”

Those fireflies are so cute — and they look easy! Thanks for sharing the printables, we’ll use these this month!
What fun projects!!
I love how cute all those crafts are for little ones! In another year or two, my youngest should be truly ready for some of them. But, right now he’s to spastic to do much that’s organized.
They are adorable.
What cute crafts and what gorgeous kids!
I loved all the crafts, especially the egg carton chicks. The carrot patch cupcakes looked super yummy! I’ve never seen orange and green tootsie rolls, so I’ll have to look for those.
Love how much fun you had! I am like TaMara, I have to find those tootsie rolls!
I love all these ideas. We will definetly be making egg carton chicks this year. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, Mindy! Thank you for sharing those great projects. They are really cute. I especially love those cupcakes ~ Victoria
