A few days ago DenSchool asked for your support with Help Sophie Walk. We are happy to announce that the family reached their goal and will be traveling to California for Sophie’s therapies at the Anat Baniel Method Center! Raising the funds for the therapy is a great start for Sophie’s treatment, however, we know that this will be only the first step in many towards this little one walking. Because of this, DenSchool will be contributing an additional $500 toward additional therapies for Sophie (animal therapies – horse/dolphin and a special tricycle for kids with cerebral palsy). We are asking that you continue to share her story in an effort to raise the necessary funds for future treatment needs too.
Join us – Help Sophie Walk!
Sophie and her twin sister were born when their mother was only 27 weeks pregnant. While her sister lost her battle at five days old, Sophie was released from the NICU after seventy days. Although she is home and thriving, her Cerebral Palsy has not permitted her to develop as a toddler should. I think many parents would succeed to the facts but Sophie’s strong mother has researched her heart out and is determined to see her little one walk. You can follow this family’s journey at I Love You To Eternity.
Are you homeschooling a child with Cerebral Palsy? We would love to hear your story in the comments below.
